Kumkum Bhagya (English: Vermillion In My Destiny, Indonesia: Lonceng Cinta) is a Hindi-language Indiansoap opera which premiered on 15 April 2014. and is broadcast on weeknights on Zee Television set. The show is loosely based on the book Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. Kumkum Bhagya (Lonceng Cinta) is its Indian interpretation, which follows the full life of an Hindu-Punjabi matriarch, Sarla Arora, who runs a marriage hall. Sarla lives with theexpectation of finding her two daughters Bulbul and Pragya, married someday happily. The pivotal characters of the show are strong, feisty women, living together within an all-female matriarchal family. Following this, Nikhil, Aliya and Tanu conspire for Tanu and Abhi's marriage by blackmailinghim through Tanu and Nikhil's unborn child, proclaiming that he is Abhi's child.Abhi says his thoughts to Pragya. Dadi and Purab want Abhi'smemory back again so that Abhi and Pragya reunite. After Abhi hires Pragya soon, their boss-employee romance blooms into something more and Abhi considers Pragya as his best something andfriends more. To create Abhi realize his true feelings for Pragya, Purab lies to Abhi that he loves Pragya to make him jealous. Abhi getsjealous but he is puzzled.Abhi announces proposal.
