Kumkum Bhagya (English: Vermillion IN MY OWN Fate, Indonesia: Lonceng Cinta) is a Hindi-language Indiancleaning soap opera which premiered on 15 April 2014. and is broadcast on weeknights on ZeeTelevision. The show is basedon the novel Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen loosely. Kumkum Bhagya (Lonceng Cinta) is its Indian interpretation, which follows the entire life of the Hindu-Punjabi matriarch, Sarla Arora, who runs a married relationship hall. Sarla lives withthe expectation of experiencing her two daughters Pragya and Bulbul, married someday happily. The pivotal characters of the show are strong, feisty women,living in an all-female matriarchal family jointly. The series stars SritiJha, Shabbir Ahluwalia, Mrunal Thakur , Arjit Taneja and Vin Rana are in lead roles.The series is produced by Ekta Kapoor under the banner Balaji Telefilms. It's theoverall account of Sarla Arora, who runs a marriage hall,lives with the expectation of witnessing her two daughtershitched happily. Pragya, the elder daughter, is sensible, hard working, teaches at a college. Bulbul,the younger girl, has her mind in the clouds,has a job,but hates her manager Purab.The show practices the lives of the two sisters and theirexpectations, aspirations and dreams. Initially, a love wasaccompanied by the series triangle between Pragya, Suresh and bulbul, where Pragya loved Suresh,who had feelings forBulbul.Pragya and Suresh's proposal is later terminated.Together, Abhi is a rockand roll star and Purab happens to be Abhi's closest friend. Purab and Bulbulprimarily had hatred feelings for each other,however the whole storyline requires a switch when thetwo semester in love. Purab is engaged to Aliya, who misunderstood his affair with Bulbulconvinced that he loves Pragya. As a result, Abhi hitched Pragya for revenge. For her sister's security, Pragya lied to Abhi.

Purab escaped on his relationship day with Aliya to marry Bulbul where she revealed to Abhi that she is the lady Purab loves. A complicated relation startsoff in everyone's life. Aliya and Tanu plan conspiracies against Pragya but their plans fail and bring hermore near to Abhi. Starting from a fake MMS, that was against Pragya,Abhi got to know of fact and better his connection with Purab and Bulbul. This was accompanied by the Kidnap arc, where Aliya wanted Bulbul tobe kidnapped on her engagement, however in reality Pragya got kidnapped. As a result, she suggestedher wish to Abhi. Abhi also started adoring her. Aliya revealed her true colors on Purab and Bulbul's wedding by fainting Bulbul and attempting to marry Purab, whenshe was slapped by Abhi. Within the same arc, Bulbul and Purab get committed where a collection of jealousy and love began between bulbul, Aliya and purab. Facing Abhi's anger, Pragya still proves herself right. Both propose the other person in Abhi's mansion in Lonavala, after which Abhi loses his memory in a motor car accidentdesigned for Pragya, getting amnesia and forgetting two-and-a-half years of his life, including Pragya. For his cover, Pragya decides kept him, however, does not divorce him.
The show about takes a one-two month step, and persists with Pragya overhearing hermother stating that she experienced lost the Kumkum Bhagya Marriage Hall. Determined to help her family, Pragya enrollsas a receptionist at Love Life Music Company. In the same company, Abhi involves record his new record. They both meet there and Abhi hires Pragya as his receptionist. There starts a new storylinewhere Aliya turns the main Antagonist wanting to distance them adding Tanu. After much conspiracies Pragya issues Aliya and Tanu that she will recreate Abhi's recollection before hismatrimony with Tanu. Abhi has unclear flashbacks of his past in his dreams. Dadi and Purab want Abhi'srecollection back so that Abhi and Pragya reunite. Immediately after Abhihires Pragya, their boss-employee romance blooms into something more and Abhi sees Pragya as his best something andfriends more. To create Abhi realize his true feelings for Pragya, Purab lies to Abhi that he loves Pragya to make him jealous. Abhi getsjealous but he's puzzled.Abhi announces engagement.
